Abstract

The study aimed to determine the role played by the bank financing mechanism in supporting MSMEs projects as one of the most important tools for transformation of the informal economy in Egypt, by identify some main factors that determine the credit decision at the Commercial banks in financing MSMEs. To achieve the objectives of the study, Questionnaire of (30) items was designed covering three main axes, namely: client s position, client s characteristics, and credit policies of the commercial bank, and its role in determining the credit decision by Egyptian commercial banks. Researcher has used the descriptive analytical approach, and SPSS program to analyze the results, standard deviation, arithmetic average, one sample T- Test, and independent sample T- Test were also utilized. The results of the study have revealed that there is a significant role for these factors in determining the credit decision by Egyptian commercial banks. Accordingly, the researcher presented main important recommendations.
